Founded as a non-profit corporation in 1966 to provide workplace training, INACAP has contributed to the development of all regions of the country over its 57-year history. It has played a key role in educating highly skilled professionals and technicians across various productive sectors.

INACAP, through its mission, aims to train with excellence and commitment people of integrity who transform the world, thereby significantly contributing to social mobility and the overall productive development of the country.

With a track record of over five decades in training competent technicians and professionals for the workforce, INACAP's successful approach is centered around the pedagogical principle of "Learning by Doing." Presently, it operates 30 campuses across all 16 regions of Chile, including an Online Campus, catering to more than 100,000 students. It boasts 1,050 high-tech laboratories and workshops, employs nearly 4,000 teachers, and has graduated over 350,000 individuals.

INACAP holds a 7-year accreditation from the National Accreditation Agency (CNA), which certifies the quality and relevance of its educational programs. This accreditation covers Institutional Management and Undergraduate Teaching.
